“双碳”目标和“创新、协调、绿色、开放、共享”新发展理念的流行，以及近年 来 ESG 概念的热度逐年攀升，不禁让人猜想，在数字化浪潮热度消退后，企业的数字化 转型是否会对企业的 ESG 表现产生影响。本文以 2018 年~2022 年沪深 A 股上市的制造业 公司为研究样本，利用爬虫和自然语言处理等技术，通过统计企业年报中的数字化关键 词词频来刻画企业数字化转型水平，研究企业数字化转型对制造业企业的 ESG 表现的影 响。研究结果表明：在其他条件相同的情况下，制造业企业数字化转型会提高企业的 ESG 表现。本研究对当前形势下，加快企业数字化转型，引导企业提升 ESG 表现，推动 制造业的可持续发展，提供了政府政策和企业战略等有益的相关启示和参考。

With the popularity of the "dual carbon" target, the emerging development concept of "innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing", and the increasing attention to the ESG concept in recent years, it is intriguing to speculate whether the digital transformation of enterprises will affect their ESG performance after the decline of the digitalization trend. This study takes manufacturing companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 2018 to 2022 as research samples. By utilizing techniques such as web crawling and natural language processing, this study characterizes the level of digital transformation of enterprises by statistically analyzing the frequency of digitalization keywords in annual reports and investigates the impact of digital transformation on the ESG performance of manufacturing companies. The results indicate that, under otherwise equal conditions, digital transformation within manufacturing firms improves their ESG performance. This research provides relevant aimed at expediting enterprise digital transformation, thereby guiding companies in enhancing their ESG performance, promoting the sustainable development of the manufacturing industry, and offering implications for government policies and corporate strategies.
