本文是一篇旅游类文本翻译实践报告，旨在分析翻译案例，探索文本中汉语文化负载词的英译方法。本翻译项目中的源文本是《中国大香格里拉旅行指南》，是一本小型的旅行手册，全文共约四万字，分九章介绍了香格里拉的自然风光和风土人情，每一章即为一个地区，包括甘孜、凉山、攀枝花等，其中文化负载词较为丰富，文化信息丰富。 源文本中文化负载词较为丰富，因此本报告从文化负载词入手，以传播文化为立足点，翻译好这些文化负载词，达到文化传播的效果。本报告选取纽马克的文化词五分法和跨文化传播作为指导理论。根据纽马克对文化词的分类，结合旅行手册的具体内容，笔者提取出手册中的文化负载词，将其主要分为三类：物质、民俗和宗教，并列举出较为典型的例子。针对这些文化负载词，笔者总结出直译、音译、阐释性翻译、音译加解释等几种主要的翻译方法，力求将文化负载词中的文化内涵表达清楚，传播香格里拉文化。

This report on the translation of tourism materials probes into the case and tries to work out some methods to translate the culture-loaded words in such materials. The source text is A Guidebook to Shangri-La which introduces the natural landscape and local customs in nine chapters. Each chapter introduces one district, including Ganzi, Liangshan, Panzhihua and other places. The source text contains many culture-loaded words and provides valuable data for people abroad to know and study the area. With the goal of intercultural communication, this report focuses on the culture-loaded words, and tries to find ways to properly translate these words. The report is based on the five clarifications of cultural words from Peter Newmark and the theory of intercultural communication. According to the content of the source text, the culture-loaded words are mainly classified into three types: materials, local customs and religion. Some examples are given in each category. To translate these words, the writer concludes several methods: literal translation, transliteration, explanation, transliteration plus explanation, trying to show the image and bring the culture to the world.
