本文基于CHARLS（中国健康与养老追踪调查 ） 2018年的数据，采用固定效应模型研究父母婚姻支付与子女代际转移决策之间的关系。实证结果显示，父母的婚姻支付能够显著增加子女提供的经济支持与情感慰藉。依据性别分样本回归的结果表明，父母给与的婚姻支付每增加1%，女儿给与的经济支持显著增加0.046%，提供的情感慰藉天数显著增加1.983天，儿子提供的经济支持显著增加0.022%，提供的情感慰藉天数显著增加0.730天，实证结果符合代际转移的交换动机。除了性别差异外，对于女性样本，还存在城乡差异。父母居住在城市的女性样本，父母给与的婚姻支付每增加1%，女儿给与的经济支持显著增加0.071%，提供的情感慰藉天数显著增加2.520天，均高于父母居住在乡村的女性样本。

Based on the data of CHARLS 2018, this paper uses fixed-effect model to study the relationship between parents’ marriage payment and children’s intergenerational transfer decision-making. The empirical results show that parents’ marriage payment can significantly increase the economic support and emotional comfort provided by their children. According to the results of gender-disaggregated sample regression, for every 1% increase in parents’ marriage payment, daughters’ financial support increased significantly by 0.046% , and the days of providing emotional comfort increased significantly by 1.983 days, the economic support provided by sons increased significantly by 0.022% and the days of emotional comfort provided by sons increased significantly by 0.730 days. In addition to gender differences, there are urban and rural differences in the female sample. For the sample of women whose parents live in cities, for every 1% increase in the marriage payment, the daughter’s financial support increased significantly by 0.071%, and the days of providing emotional comfort increased significantly by 2.520 days, than the sample of women whose parents lived in the country.
