In the current traditional culture back to the people's vision of a good social environment, the study of seal cutting art of Jin Yumin is an inevitable trend.When Jin Yumin was a young man who learned to carving from the book of Feihongtang Seal Cutting collection.He learned what should be accept or reject in carving under the guidance of his teacher Shou Shigong. He carved seals for many Chinese cultural workers and Japanese friends. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, he became the first generation of seal cutting imitators of the Forbidden City. Based on the experience of his learning in seal cutting, I explored the learning process of his seal cutting. By means of comparative analysis of pictures, I tried to find out Jin Yumin’s learning process of seal cutting, where he reference the theory from Wu Rangzhi, Zhao Zhiqian, Wu Changshuo and Huang Mufu. To combined the Zhejiang faction and Anhui faction ,add the skills of writting title of stone tablets to show the primitive simplicity. Showing the Jin Yumin’s seal cutting works of Han style, Qinxi style, Wu Rangzhi style, Wu Changshuo style, Huang Mufu style,Shanguoshan stone style,Shushu style and Poetry seal cutting .In combination of Jin Yumin’s content of carving at the side of the stones which inductive its characteristics of his seal cutting art, his carving works strength and delicate with primitive simplicity.The rim design of thick emboss seal cutting works is unique, all sorts of different styles of seal cutting works respect tradition, insist in his belief: every word has its source place. At the same time, I studied his special art of carving seal knobs from which it can establish the connection between Jin Yumin's seal cutting art and the art of carving seal knobs. Jin Yumin trained successor of facsimile carving in the Forbbidon City and conduct studies in how to influence the later generations' experience of seal carving ,it helps to show a complete carving career of Jin Yumin.
