The first chapter focuses on the academic origin and time motive of Sima Qian's writing. This paper sorts out the material sources of the Yellow Emperor's writings by Sima Qian and summarizes the principles of materials and the characteristics of materials. Starting from the unearthed materials such as Chen Houyin Dun, this paper explores the document origin of Zaiyu inquiring the Virtues of the Five Emperors and the System of Emperors adopted in the Five Emperors' Original Records. The Five Emperors' Virtues came from Zai Yu's questions. There are signs that he had been active in the State of Qi during the period of Tian Chen, and the records of the Emperors' System have many similarities with the documents of Tian Qi. We assume that Tian's arrival from Chen, a descendant of Shun, may have brought with him some resources of stories about the Yellow Emperor and reorganized them during the Warring States Period. The Five Emperors' Virtues may have been related to Tian Chen. Combined with the Book of Zen Sealing, this paper probes into the influence of the culture, folklore and the ruling class of the Han Dynasty that worshipped the Yellow Emperor and pursued longevity on the writing of the Yellow Emperor by Sima Qian.

The second chapter introduces the discussion of Sima Qian's political ideal and historical attitude through the handed down documents such as Yi Zhou Shu and the unearthed documents such as the Five Ji of Qing Dynasty, Wangjiatai Qin Jian's Collection, Silk Silk's Four Classics of the Yellow Emperor and the legend of the Yellow Emperor's war in the unearthed documents such as Yin Quai Shan Han Jian's Sun Tzu's Art of War. It distinguishes the deductive ways of the Yellow Emperor's image in the literature from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the early Han Dynasty and reveals the changes of the Yellow Emperor's image. This paper explores how the legends of the wars of the Yellow Emperor, such as Zhanchi Emperor, Zhuolu War, Zhuolu War and Zhanquan War, were generated and finally integrated into the Five Emperors' Original Ji. The image of Yellow Emperor in Sima Qian's works reflects his ideological tendency and historical attitude of pursuing lasting peace on the basis of unity.

The third chapter reveals the cultural connotation of Sima Qian's Yellow Emperor's writing and summarizes the significance of Sima Qian's Yellow Emperor's writing through the exploration of the ancient imperial lineage in the "Benji". In connection with the ancient imperial lineage recorded in Guoyu, The Classic of Mountains and Seas and Rongcheng and Zihu, this paper explores how Sima Qian determined the pedigree of the ancient emperors, bridging the contradictions, including the descendants of the Yellow Emperor in three generations and other people outside the Xia dynasty, making the Yellow Emperor the common ancestor of different ethnic groups. This paper explores Sima Qian's way of constructing cultural memory and the ideas contained in it by combing the records of "Four Classics of the Yellow Emperor" and the legend of the Yellow Emperor's cultural creation in Silk manuscripts. Through his writings, Records of the Grand Historian established Huang Di as the ancestor of humanity and left a distinct spiritual mark for the origin of Chinese civilization.
