儿童早期的映射能力对其今后数学能力的发展非常重要。过去的成人研究表明,映射依赖于两种机制:关联机制和结构映射机制。但对年幼儿童映射能力发展机制的研究结果还不甚明朗。为了探究儿童符号非符号映射能力的机制及其与估计成绩的关系,本研究测试了5-6岁儿童在非符号点集比较任务、匹配任务和估计任务中的表现,通过构建二元logit模型和线性混合模型,证明了儿童的映射中也存在上述两种机制的共同作用。此外,研究还探索了数数和序数能力对儿童映射能力的影响。结果表明证明了儿童的映射能力可以由序数能力预测,序数能力更强的儿童,在点估计的结果中会表现出更高的线性程度和顺序性。因此,认为儿童的序数能力可能正是儿童估计能力发展的关键影响因素。
外文摘要:
Mapping ability in childhood is very important to the future development of mathematical ability. Previous studies on adults show that mapping depends on two mechanisms: the association mechanism and the structure mapping mechanism. However, the development of mapping mechanisms of children is not clear. This study tested the performance of 5-6-year-old children in numerical discrimination task, number matching task and estimation task with and without calibration, in order to explore the mechanism of children's mapping ability between Non-Symbolic and Symbolic Numerical Magnitudes and its relationship with estimation performance and demonstrated that the two mechanisms mentioned above also exist in the mapping of children by constructed binomial logit models and linear mixed models. On this basis, current study also explored the impact of counting and numeral ordering ability on children's mapping. The results show that children's mapping ability can be predicted by ordinal ability, and children with stronger ordinal ability will show higher degree of linearity and order in the results of point estimation. Therefore, it is considered that children's ordinal ability may be a key factor affecting the development of children's ability to estimate.
