随着信息网络技术的发展,多媒体应用技术也走进了英语课堂。传统的英语教学模式已无法满足学生的需求,利用英语视频资源丰富英语课堂,将教学内容与视频资料相结合调动学生积极性已成为大势所趋。近几年来,利用英语视频资源进行教学的研究相继开展,然而大多研究仅停留在理论层面,对于利用英语视频资源教学对学生的具体影响更是缺乏实证研究。因此本研究致力于通过实证研究,从而探究英语视频资源的使用对学生学习态度和英语能力的影响。 本探究将对32名高二学生开展为期两个月的英语视频词汇教学。在研究前后,分别对该32名学生进行两次英语测试,从而检测学生在传统英语词汇教学模式和新模式下能否识别出所学的词汇并正确拼写。两次测试结果进行对比,从而了解学生平均成绩,最高成绩和最低成绩的变化。之后将采用课堂观摩、问卷调查和访谈的方式进一步了解英语视频资源的使用对学生学习态度和英语能力的具体影响。 研究结果表明,采用视频的方式进行英语教学能够增强学生学习兴趣,增强学生学习动机和自信,提高课堂专注力、参与感、成就感,培养学生听力、口语和理解能力,拓展词汇量,帮助学生了解国外文化,营造轻松有趣的课堂氛围。

With the development of informational technology, multimedia technology has entered the English classroom. Traditional English teaching has been unable to meet the needs of students. It has become an irresistible trend to use English video resources to enrich English classes and combine teaching content with video materials to mobilize students’ enthusiasm. In recent years, researches on the use of English video resources in teaching have been carried out one after another. However, most of the researches are at the theoretical level, and there is a lack of empirical researches on the specific impact of the use of English video resources on students. Therefore, this study aims to explore the impact of the use of English video resources on students’ learning attitude and English abilities. This research was based on two-month English vocabulary teaching using video materials for 32 senior high school students. Before and after the study, the 32 students were given two quizzes to check if students could recognize and write down the vocabulary correctly that they had learned through traditional English vocabulary teaching method and the new one. And the scores of two quizzes were compared, so as to understand the changes of the average score, the top score and the lowest score of the students. After that, class observation, questionnaires and interviews were used to further understand the specific impact of the use of English video resources on students’ learning attitude and English abilities. The research results show that teaching English through video materials can enhance students’ interest, motivation and confidence in learning, increase classroom concentration, the senses of participation and achievement, cultivate students’ listening, speaking and comprehension, expand their vocabulary, help students understand foreign culture, and create a relaxing and interesting classroom atmosphere.
