为了迎接数字电视发展的需要，北京师范大学信息学院对数字电视课程进行创新改革，针对同学们的实际情况设计一套新的实验演示软件和指导书，以提高同学们学习的兴趣和效果。本论文主要研究以MPEG1 为基础的视频压缩。主要利用了MPEG1中三个帧结构中的两个:I帧和P帧。针对cif格式的视频，利用matlab 制作演示软件。通过实验演示，加深同学们对理论知识的理解，提高同学们的分析能力;同学们再根据实验指导书的要求，通过动手，加强对理论知识的运用能力。通过这个实验，使同学们对MPEG1标准有全面的认识，对冗余度，相关性等有正确的理解。

To meet the requirement of digital television development, the College of Information Science and Technology of Beijing Normal University launched an innovation upon the courses of Digital Television. In this thesis I design a video coding experiment. I developed a software for demo and an instruction book. I hope that the students could understand video compression principle better through using this software and studying the instruction book and they could improve their ability of handling problems by working according to the instruction.. Through these experiments, the students will get an overall awareness of the standards of MPEG1 and a correct understanding of the redundancy rate and pertinence.
