《章安杂说》是赵之谦咸丰十一年（1861）客居温州章安时与友人江弢叔议论书画碑碣、考证艺文等时所作的札记，共计八十一则，其中论书画碑碣者占大多数，是汇辑赵之谦有关于书学理论的一部重要著作。本文通过对其中书法艺术观的探究，揭示了赵之谦“重碑倡古”、“重拙贵争”、“意趣天成”、“书画同源”等艺术观。这些对今人不无借鉴意义。

“Essays written in Zhang an”,composed of 81 chapters, is the reading notes or commentary of ZhaoZhiqian when he took up a temporary residence in Wenzhou in 1861, including discussions about calligraphy, painting and tablet with his friend Jiangtaoshu, textual research of art and literature, essay about sights and sounds and poems, etc. It is an important work collecting Zhao’s theories on calligraphy.This thesis,through exploring the aritistic view of calligraphy in the book ,reveals the aritistic views of Zhao,such as “valuing tablet and advocating old tradtions”,“thinking highly of humbleness and valuing competition”,“natural-born interest and charm”and“calligraphy and painting being of the same origin ”,etc,which are salutary lessons for modern people.
