简化太极拳的创编，是太极拳发展史上的一件里程碑式的大事，也是全民健身史上的一件里程碑式的大事。二十四式太极拳由五十年前的一个简单套路发展到今天的广泛普及，其发展历程可以说是一种成功推广的范例。对二十四式太极拳的研究也相当全面，有对二十四式太极拳健身价值的实验研究，有对二十四式太极拳教学方法的研究，也有对二十四式太极拳本身的研究，但对二十四式太极拳五十年来成功经验的总结研究却没有，本研究将弥补这一空白，总结二十四式太极拳的成功推广经验，以便为其他项目的发展提供借鉴。二十四式太极拳发展到今天也渐渐显露出了很多问题。在社区，尤其是在公共场所，开展得非常好，而在校园中的氛围却非常冷淡，虽然太极拳进入学校的教育体系已经有很长的一段时间。这些问题有社会的，也有人为的。这些问题的存在势必会在一定程度上限制二十四式太极拳的发展。 本文将围绕二十四式太极拳的成功推广经验和当今存在的问题展开研究。针对二十四式太极拳的发展历程，本文通过大量的文献资料分析以及专家访谈，分析总结了二十四式太极拳的成功推广经验；针对在校园和社区推广中所存在现象，通过问卷调查和文献资料，作了一系列的调查分析，总结了二十四式太极拳目前所存在问题的原因。通过研究，得出二十四式太极拳的成功推广经验主要体现在了以下几个方面：政策的扶持；健身功能的吸引；学校教育的传播等。对于校园内氛围不浓和学生兴趣不高的现状，提出了优化教材内容、完善课程设置等对策；针对社区的场地和指导人员缺乏的问题，提出了校园社区互动发展的对策。
