本论文以张艺谋和金基德的早期电影为研究对象，对影片的主要特点和其中的女性形象与水意象进行了细致的研究。虽然他们是风格上有很大差异的两个导演，但是他们的早期电影中却有许多值得比较研究的共同点，如影片中强烈的色彩对照、注意某种题材和用道具来表现出里面的含义等。二人都关注女性形象和水意象，并抓住其中的内在联系，用于影片中来表现主题。张艺谋用女性人物的遭遇来批判腐朽社会，金基德通过水意象来象征生命和女性(母性)形象。通过研究，意在唤起人们对艺术性电影的关注。

This paper studies the early movies by Zhang Yimou and Jin Jide It dedicated to the main characteristics of these movies, as well as its female image and a water suggestion. With a great divergence in their general style, the two directors shares a lot of things in their early movies which are worth studying and comparing, for example, they both employ a strong contrast in color and they use a certain theme or thing to manifest its meaning. Both of them show great concern over the image of female and the suggestion of water, seizing their internal connection to express the topic of the movie. Zhang Yimou criticizes the rotten society through female characters’misfortune;Jin Jide employs a metaphor of water to manifest life and female (maternal) image. This study aims at evoking people's concern over artistic movies.
