在非物质文化遗产保护的社会文化环境里，地域武术文化研究日益得到学者的重视。上海体育学院的博士生导师郭志禹教授更是在宏观把握的基础上，带领他的博士研究生对中州武术、齐鲁武术、燕赵武术、巴蜀武术、秦晋武术、岭南武术、吴越武术、荆楚武术等14个地域武术文化区逐一进行研究，已经取得了十分丰硕的成果。天津是一个因运河而兴的城市，京杭大运河在贯通海河、黄河、淮河、长江和钱塘江五大水系的同时，也把燕赵文化圈、齐鲁文化圈、荆楚文化圈、吴越文化圈等四大文化圈有机地串联在一起，形成了独具特色的运河文化带。处在此文化带上的天津文化呈现出典型的兼容性特点，其文化源头主要来自运河文化（商人文化）、老城文化（军卫文化）、码头文化（难民文化）、寓公文化（政客文化）、租界文化（洋人文化）和精英文化（知识分子文化）六个方面。文化的兼容性造就了丰富多彩的天津武术文化景象，在这里武侠小说创作兴盛、义和团运动曾风靡一时。在尚武的文化氛围里，天津不但产生了北少林武术、无极拳、程派高式八卦掌、回族重刀武术、独流苗刀等独具一格的传统武术拳派，而且中华武士会、精武体育会、国立体专等与天津有关的武术组织更是对中华民族的振兴做出了突出贡献。可惜的是，独具特色、内容丰厚的天津武术文化并没有引起应有的重视。截至目前，尚没有学者对天津武术文化进行系统而完整的研究，本文试图弥补这一缺陷。该文首先对武术文化的概念进行了限定、对地域武术文化研究的学术史进行了归纳与梳理，接着对天津武术文化研究的目的、意义以及武术文化研究的材料和方法进行了重点说明。论文在综合运用文献资料法、文物考古法、田野调查法和自身体悟法的基础上对“天津武术文化的发展轨迹及义和团运动”，中华武士会、精武体育会等武术组织、“‘土洋体育之争’与‘第一届民运会’”、无极拳、回族重刀武术、独流苗刀、程派高式八卦掌等富有特色的天津武术流派，霍元甲、韩慕侠、门惠丰等天津武术人物，郑证因、宫白羽、李寿民、冯骥才等人的武侠小说创作以及“天津武术的地域文化定位与特点”等进行了研究。通过对天津武术文化的研究，我们发现天津武术文化应是一个独立的武术文化区，而不是燕赵武术文化的一个亚区。在这一文化区内的武术强调个性、富有创新理念。也正因为此，天津的武术文化资源相当丰富多彩，尤其是“小拳种”特别多。但由于“文化孤岛”的影响、特有地理环境的制约等因素的影响，天津武术文化表现出吸纳性强而辐射性弱的特点。这是天津实现文化产业振兴、向文化强市的奋斗目标迈进 过程中需要特别注意的问题。

Under the social and cultural circumstances of intangible cultural heritage being preserved, study of regional Wushu culture has been paid increasing attention to by experts. Professor, Guo Zhiyu, doctoral supervisor in Shanghai University of Sports, with the macroscopic command of Wushu as his basis of study, has supervised his doctoral students to study Wushu cultures of 14 regions like Zhongzhou, Qilu, Yanzhao, Bashu, Qinjin, Lingnan, Wuyue, Jingchu respectively and has achieved very rich fruits. Tianjin, a city having thrived with the prosperity of Jinghang Great Canal, which not only connects the five rivers like the Haihe River, the Yellow River, the Huaihe River, the Yangtze River and the Qiangtang River but also organically unites the four cultural circles like the cultural circles of Yanzhao, Qilu, Jingchu and Wuyue, boasts peculiar cultural circle of canal. Its culture is characterised by typical compatibility and its cultural source is out of the six aspects, i.e., culture of canal (culture of merchants), culture of old city (culture of martial safeguard), culture of whalf (culture of refugees), culture of government officials residing away from home (culture of politicians), culture of foreign settlement (culture of foreigners) and culture of elite (culture of intellectuals).The compatible culture in Tianjin has created its colorful Wushu culture. Once, the creation of Wushu novels and the Yihetuan Movement were very popular at the time. Under the cultural circumstance of encouraging martial spirit, there have been many schools of traditional Wushu of unique styles, such as Northern Shaolin Wushu, Wujiquan, High Baguazhuang of Cheng Style, Heavy Knife Wushu of Hui Nationality and Duliu Miao Knife and many Wushu organizations associated with Tianjin, such as Society of Chinese Warrior, Jingwu Athletic Association, State-owned College of Physical Education, which have made outstanding contribution to the properity of China.Unfortunately, unique and rich Tianjin Wushu culture has not been paid due attention to. Up to now, no expert has carried out systematic and comprehensive study of Tianjin Wushu Culture. This paper aims to make up this drawback..This paper, firstly limits the definition of Wushu culture, sums up the academic history of study of regional Wushu culture, and then emphatically explains the aim, significance of the study of Tianjin Wushu culture and the materials and methods of study of Wushu culture.This paper comprehensively applies the methods of literature, archeological study of cultural relics, field work and introspection. It studies “the development of Tianjin Wushu Culture and the Yihetuan Movement”, Wushu organizations like Society of Chinese Warrior, Jingwu Athletic Association, “Competition between the native sports and foreign sports and the First National Sports Meeting”, Tianjin Wushu characters like Huo Yuanjia, Han Muxia, Men Huifeng, etc., creation of Wushu novels by Zheng Zhengyin, Gong Baiyu, Li Shoumin, Feng Jicai, etc., and “Regional Cultural Orientation and Features of Tianjin Wushu Culture”.From the study of Tianjin Wushu culture, it is found that Tian Wushu Culture is an independent Wushu culture region but not a sub-region of Yanzhao Wushu Culture. Wushu in this area emphasizes individuality and originality. Therefore, the resources of Tianjin Wushu Culture is fairly rich and colorful, especially its rich minor schools of Wushu. However, because of the influence of the restricting factors like “cultural island” and specific geographical environment, Tianjin Wushu culture obtains the features of strong acceptance but weak radiation, which should be paid special attention to in the process of realization of rejuvenation of cultural industry, advancement of culturally powerful city.
