In contrast, the war experience of ordinary soldiers is more direct and cruel. Many generals often reflect on tactical and strategic issues after the war, rather than the justice of the war itself. Ordinary soldiers, on the other hand, reflect more on the brutality of war and personal sacrifices, and as a result, they suffer more physical and mental trauma.
