本文旨在研究沉樱译作中所体现出的鲜明的女性特色及其成因，以便为困境中的中国当代女译者提供可资借鉴之法。首先，论文分析了沉樱对源文本的选择情况，以及此选择如何体现了译者鲜明的女性意识与女权立场。其次，论文详细分析了在转化目标文本的过程中，沉樱所采取的各种翻译策略和手段，包括巧妙的措辞方式、删略与增补、温和的准“劫持”策略以及译者序的随性写作与脚注的缺席等等。通过将沉译与原文和其他译本做大量对比分析，论文阐释了沉樱译作中女性特色的生成机制，并着重研究她对具有强烈男权色彩的毛姆小说的翻译情况，探讨译者如何在翻译中运用各种策略来彰显自身的女性意识与立场，削减原作对女性的贬低和嘲讽。最后，论文考察了沉樱的成长历程、婚恋经历以及小说创作的情况，探讨这些因素对其翻译活动以及译文特色的影响。

By the help of feminist translation theory, this dissertation aims to reveal the femininity of Chen Ying’s translations and its cause, by which can we find a solution to the problem that Chinese female translators are confronted with.Firstly, the dissertation analyzes which kinds of text Chen Ying chose to translate and how this choice reflects her feminist consciousness. Secondly, the dissertation analyzes some strategies Chen Ying applied in her translations, including tactful discourse-organizing, supplementing and omitting, moderate quasi-“hijacking”, etc. Comparing with the source text and other translator’s works, the dissertation illustrates the formation mechanism of femininity in Chen’s translations. In this section, the dissertation analyzes the translations of Maugham’s intensively patriarchal short stories and explores how Chen Ying demonstrated her feminist consciousness and rewrote the contempt and ridicule to the women in the source text. Thirdly, the dissertation investigates Chen Ying’s personal development and love experience, as well as how these factors influence her translation.
