第二语言学习者在学习第二语言时需要借助大量的知识。对处于初级阶段的学习者来说,因为他们已经有了母语的基础,他们很容易借助母语的规则来学习第二语言。事实上,对于很多语言学习者来说,母语对他们的二语习得有着深远的影响。人们普遍认为母语对二语习得有着妨碍作用。事实上,母语不仅仅会阻碍二语习得,它在某些方面例如在词法、句法等方面也会促进二语的学习。本篇论文旨在于分析汉语对英语,尤其在英语语法学习方面的影响。论文由三部分构成。第一部分概括介绍了语言迁移以及国内外相关研究状况。第二部分通过对汉语和英语进行比较,具体阐述了汉语对英语语法学习的影响,从而论证作者所提出的观点,即对学习英语的中国学生来说,汉语既会产生负迁移,也会产生正迁移。论文的最后一部分属总结部分,具体探讨了汉语对英语语法学习的影响对英语教学的启示,以及在这方面研究今后的努力方向。

外文摘要:

Second language learners bring an enormous amount of knowledge to the task of leaning a second language. For a start, they have already learned their mother tongue and they are likely to draw on this when they learn a second language. In fact, for many language learners, the impact of their mother tongue on the target language is impressive. It is generally accepted that the mother tongue of the learners has a negative transfer on second language learning. Actually, the mother tongue not only interferes with the study of second language learning, but also facilitates the learning in various aspects in second language learning such as morphology, syntax, etc. In this paper, the main effort is to explore the influence of Chinese on English, especially on English grammar study. It is composed of three parts: the first part is the introduction of language transfer in general and related studies both abroad and in China. The second part is an illustration of the reflex of Chinese influence on English grammar study in morphology and syntax, and specifies and analyses the errors made by the Chinese learners of English, which supports the views put forward by the author that there are not only negative transfer but also positive one when Chinese students learn English. The concluding part looks at the implications of this study for English language teaching and further discussion for this topic for future study.
