以往研究表明老年人偏好使用带有文字标签的拟物化图标，但这些研究缺乏对图标视觉深度的考量，且没有对比老年人在搜索图标时对图形和文字标签的关注程度。为弥补以往研究的不足，本研究招募了19名60到67岁的老年人，请他们根据一些问题情境，在不同图标数量条件（8或16）下搜索不同视觉深度（扁平化、无偏向或拟物化）的目标图标，并使用Tobii Pro Spectrum记录其反应时、正确率、首次注视时间和平均注视时长。

本研究发现：1. 拟物化图标只在图标数量少时使老年人有较好的表现；2. 扁平化图标只在图标数量多时使老年人有较好的表现；3. 无偏向图标的影响最为稳定，且有利于老年人加工图形；4. 老年人会优先注视文字标签，且其加工较容易。根据以上发现，研究能够为图标的适老化设计提供指导。

Since different types of icon depth could bring different effects on elderlies, this study uses Tobii Pro Spectrum to investigate how elderlies process different depths of icon (flat, neutral, skeuomorphic) with text label under varied number conditions (8, 16). The experiment shows that the search performance is the best for skeuomorphic icons when there are less icons, while it is the best for flat icons when there are more icons. Among three depths of icon, neutral icons has the most stable effect on elderlies with the shortest time to first fixation and average fixation duration, implying they are the easiest to process for elderlies. Moreover, text labels are fixated prior to icon and has the least average fixation duration. The results of this study could provide useful reference for better user interface design in the future.
