具有睿智巧思的古民，在瓦当这不大的面积上，或图或书，创造出了别具意趣的瓦当艺术。特别是汉人在创造瓦当书法“美”的方面，各有见地，各展其能，不囿于一法。略观汉瓦当文字的风格，或平正、或自然、或圆润、或古朴、或醇和、或潇洒等等，对这些瓦当作品就个体风格进行差异性、相似和相近性比对、分析、总结，本文归纳出20种典型风格并相应稍作阐释，试图弥补一下该领域研究的空白，以此作为对汉代瓦当书法艺术个体风格审美范畴的初步探索，使对瓦当书法尤其是汉代瓦当书法的研究更全面、更系统。

The wise ancient people created the uniquely interesting and charming art of eaves tile. By painting or writing on caves tiles, people of Han dynasty showed their distinctive aesthetic perception, especialy on the beauty of calligraphy. To see the calligraphy on the eaves tiles of Han dynasty briefly, we can find so many different styles---neat, ingenious, simple and unsophisticated, natrual and unrestained and so on. On the basis of comparing and distinguishing the similarities and differences of the styles of the calligraphy works on these eaves tiles, the thesis sums up and explains 20 typical works, which can be taken as the preliminary exploration of the styles of the calligraphy on eaves tiles of Han dynasty.
