AbstractThe Chinese and Arab Episodes.An analysis and competitive study for the contexts and formsTV language is a very wonderful language. It is supported by industrial technology and scientific development with a several capabilities and abilities which make it a very easy language to explain incentives, goals and ideas of societies and countries.This language, through shots, words and sciences, take control of political, cultural and information addresses. But, in some cases, uses direct or indirect symbols or evidences that serve justice or injustice cases. It is a language that communicates with passion and mind at the same time. The image or shots present truth from a certain point of view, but if the word is added to this image, the idea of subject becomes clear and certain.The social episodes are the most demonstrated programs on TV. It is so popular, therefore, its effects on people are stronger than any other episodes. Consequently, the producers of such TV drama believe strongly that they are presenting precious values. They are, through such social episodes, seeking to entertain TV viewers and make them get satisfied with stands that directly affect the behavior of a person. The producers of such episodes, unfortunately, concentrate only either on the dramatic side represented in characters, plot, story itself and events or on the technical side which is represented in camera movements, sots, corners..etc. On the other hand, they ignore the context meaning that these components are carrying. Through what mentioned above, we can say that if the directors of such episodes focus only on dramatic principals of works and forget the culture, ethics, and habits of a society, this will automatically give bad habits which viewers will receive spontaneously. As a result of that the bad habits will prevail among society specially the conservative one such as Arab and Chinese societies. Through this thesis, the first of its kind in Chinese's university, the searcher tries to present a study for the form and context of such episodes in Arab and Chinese TV to discuss its contexts and technical forms as well as the attractive and seductive components used in such episodes. The thesis discusses a very significant element which has not yet been discussed by any other Chinese or Arab thesis. It draws the lights on the seductive, attractive and belonging symbols. The searcher also tries to connect the context and form elements with values and behavior that the Arab and Chinese societies are refusing. The searcher puts some opinions that may become basics for new thesis discusses the effect of technical side of episode to drama context and viewers. The searcher used different methodologies which come out with fruitful results. He uses media survey through which he analyses the contexts. He also uses the Linguistic Semantics analysis in describing symbols inside dramatic episodes. He also uses the comparative methodology to make a comparison between the context and form of Arab and Chinese episodes. He discusses the Chinese history to give an idea about Chinese civilizations and ethics. The thesis discusses three parts as follows: The first part consists of two scopes which they draw the lights on former studies it also determines the importance of this thesis and its problems, sources of evidences, methodology as well as the answers that this thesis is looking for. It also discusses chosen samples for study, determines units and analytical groups and methodology for analytical study. The second part discuses the context part of study and it consists of three chapters as follows: - The first chapter discusses the relationship between social values and media means in Islamic and Arab societies as well as social culture in Chinese society. Then it discusses the relationship between media means from the view of Muslims functions, its importance, and its feature, how to acquire values, values classifications, destruction of values and concept of behavior.The second part of this chapter discusses the social and cultural role of TV drama and that is through determining the relationship between media means and social changes; it also determines the effect of TV on people of society and TV drama relationships with people of society. The second chapter discusses the woman relations with TV drama. Firstly: The impact of woman's picture in TV drama from the technical sides:1- Composition Picture. 2- Lighting.3- Shots.Secondly: the impact of woman's picture in TV drama from psychological sides. The third chapter includes components of TV drama that represents in concepts, characters, dialogue and plot; it also includes components and forms of eagerness, attractiveness and symbols. The second part of this chapter discusses the relationship between forms and contexts, corners production in TV drama, reasons of movements between shots and its size, the joint relations between lenses and scenes size, the joint relations between shots and sizes, voice components, lighting, color, make-up and clothes used in Chinese and Arab TV drama. The third part contains a composition of analytical study for the context and form of Chinese and Arab episodes; it also contains conclusion, suggestions, appendix, and references of this thesis. The study comes out of the following important points:The episodes either it is Chinese or Arab contribute strongly on losing values among societies either the Arab or Chinese one. It spreads bad behavior among youths who is the largest section following such episodes. When people lose the social values, the social problems spread and life becomes more complicated. The directors either they are Chinese or Arabs give the character that has the beautiful face and elegant body the main role in the episodes. They do this just to attract as many viewers as they could. They try to satisfy the instincts of youth who are the main section following such seductive and beautiful characters. The youth through watching such episodes are trying to escape from the daily life problems to watch such episodes which are full of contradictions and complications and this increases the society problems. It also create contradiction in the values and personality of the viewer either he is a male or female. The Chinese and Arab directors give the form the lion's portion and they ignore the context. In other words, they do not connect the context's components with the forms, and this comes of giving a false concept that negatively affects the behavior of viewers. In some cases, it gives a public opinion on a special case which completely contradicts with the goal of the episode. The Chinese and Arab directors give the relations that join the undesired behaviors with the components of contexts and form the blind eye. This results in losing TV drama either it is Chinese or Arab the most important components that lead to its success.The Arab and Chinese directors subject the episodes to the principals of drama and they do not subject the technical principals to their drama which match up with the culture, habits, and traditions prevailing in society. They also do not discuss the daily problems that are happening in their societies. The Arab episodes do not care about religion characters, whereas Chinese never mentions it at all. We want here to say that the religious character play a very important role in prevailing values among youth. The seductive clothes that are being wore by characters especially the actress attracts the viewer instincts and lust. So the viewer stops thinking about drama conflicts between characters and starts thinking about conflicts that is occurring inside him. The most prevailed clothes in Chinese and Arab episodes are the western one and this expands the gap between the person and his cultural identity. Attractiveness is taken to be the most important components in the Chinese and Arab episodes, this leads to present the body more than any other elements which the episodes present. The Chinese and Arab directors focus on close shots, which force the viewer to the contents of such shots that are represented in body attempt. They do so to give viewers excitement that satisfies their instincts.The Chinese and Arab episodes concentrate on normal corners and this lost dramatic scenes a very important part of its movement elements. The episodes also concentrate on moving the character more than camera and character at the same time. On the other side, we find that the Chinese episodes concentrate on moving camera more than the Arabic one. The dramatic goals of such camera movements become more in Chinese episodes than the Arabic one. The Chinese and Arab episode focus on the justified movement for the dramatic character and this is an evidence of innovation in the directors. The Arab and Chinese directors take into account the targets of dramatic production and this assist the episode t keep the attention of viewer in several dramatic views. The Chinese episodes use different kinds of shots movements, whereas the Arab episodes use only one kind which is taken to be a negative phenomenon. The Arab episodes are in need for a good form, while it is a variable one in the Chinese episodes. The Arab episodes have a traditional form which makes it has less drama effect, while this style is not available in Chinese episodes. The Chinese episodes concentrate on lighting too much, while Arab directors have ignored it.The Chinese episodes use the sleet and color score styles in lighting while the Arab directors do not use it. The Chinese and Arab episodes focus on attracting sight through the lighting style they are using. The same thing with colors for they use it to attract people to the beauty of the actor. The Chinese and Arab episodes use make-up to show the beauty of the characters which make viewers concentrate too much on the beauty of these characters and forget the other components in the episode. The Chinese and Arab episodes cast shadow over short and simple dialogue and ignore the evidences of speech and its effect on receiver. The Arab and Chinese episodes ignore silence component which is taken to be the most important element in explanation and drama. The suggestions of this thesis are as follows: It is very clear that Chinese and Arab directors have the innovation means and they are very professionals in drama directory. The negatives that the searcher presents in this thesis come of different reasons which the searcher suggests to continue finding scientific and logical solutions for them.The woman is the main factor of attractiveness in most episodes and affects negatively on viewers in different level. The searcher also suggests taking care of this point to find a scientific solution for the excision use of woman as a body. It is very necessary to continue search in drama field and make it serviceable for human being. Episodes have to contribute in social and psychological settlement of human being and not make it more complicated . The drama directors must concentrate too much on how to join the undesired values and behaviors with all components of forms and contexts. In other words, the episodes must have its negative affect on increasing values among viewers.It is very important to study the attractive style that the Chinese and Arab episodes use and ability of every style on achieving better effect. The searcher suggests taking too much care on religion; for it is a very good means to attract viewer's passion and attention. The producers of social episodes must understand the effect of forms on context. The producers only take care of profits that will achieve through producing episodes and ignore the main factors of producing such social episodes. In other words, the directors only focus on the form side and ignore the positive impact on the social values and social settlement.
