研究教师应该倾听教师的声音，对教师的工作与生活给予关注。地理学科在中学课程中常常被忽视，地理教师的地位和作用也不如其他学科教师，因此关注地理教师群体、倾听他们的声音，对了解中学教育现实和促进地理教师专业发展而言是一个有意义的课题。本论文主要分为四部分。第一部分提出研究问题和文献综述。提出问题的来源，综述教师职业认同、教师专业发展和地理教师专业发展相关的理论，界定了核心概念。第二部分分析与研究相关的背景资料。从社会、学校管理、学生等方面对地理教师所处的社会教育背景进行剖析。第三部分展示地理教师专业发展的过程和途径。通过案例呈现，展示了地理教师入职动机、职业认同、专业发展过程和途径，反思了阻碍因素。第四部总结。分析了地理教师专业发展现状及成因。本研究发现，社会现实和教师自身情况对地理教师专业发展的影响是同时发挥作用的。在重理轻文的社会氛围和应试教育占主导地位的教育氛围下，地理不是高考“主流”学科、分值少，出于“成本核算”，学生、学校乃至社会都对地理学科关注不多。这种有意无意的忽视，使地理教师的工作积极性受到挫伤，专业发展动力不足。此外，地理教师自身的情况也对其专业发展起着作用，如自身性格、职业认同及偶然因素等等。大部分地理教师对进入中学教育领域还是一种无奈的心态。虽然，地理教师都表示，当了教师就要像个“教师”。但，在社会现实面前，大部分教师仍就感到力不从心。在以上种种因素作用下，地理教师的专业发展方面往往有着“自然成熟”倾向，容易在成熟教师阶段止步。本文是为数不多的针对高中地理教师进行的质性研究，丰富了地理教师研究领域的本土案例。

Geography used to be ignored in the middle school.The geography teachers are treated not as important as other teachers in school .In order to increase the geography teachers’ professional development,we should focus on their life experiences and listen to their voice.The present paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the background and the significance of this research,elaborates the research methods and make a literature review on the previous oversea and domestic on geography teachers’ professional development.The second part present the relative information .How the environment that each geography teacher involved in influnces his way of professional growth.The third part show the process of geography teachers’ professional growth,their career identity and the obstacle.The fourth part analyse the reasons and gives the direction for further study.The study selected a middle school in westen area in China as a study, using case studies of the way through the large number of interviews and data collection,to show the teacher professional growth story .
