众所周知,英语作为第二外语,其重要性不仅对于英语专业的学生来说很重要,对于非英语专业的学生也是至关重要的。当代大学对学生的英语要求很高。所以大学生在毕业之前必须通过大学英语四级的考试。所以,如何学好英语对于大学生来说非常重要。而无论是学习哪门语言,词汇都被视作是提高语言的一个方法,因为词汇是所有语言的基础。因此,词汇学习策略引起了教育者、研究者和一些专业人士的注意和兴趣。因此,作者试图揭示大四学生在通过英语考试四级水平后掌握英语词汇学习策略的现状,并根据这些现状,提出一些富有建设性的建议,以期帮助学生更有效地掌握单词学习的策略。 本文的研究方法主要基于调查问卷。调查问卷的内容主要包括学生学习英语词汇的现状,英语词汇学习策略使用现状,被调查者的不同信息及背景等内容。问卷结果用Microsoft Excel软件处理。 问卷的调查结果显示,学生们意识到了学习单词策略的重要性。调查同时表明,学生渴望通过自学和向老师学习等方式来学习词汇学习策略。但是,意识到词汇学习策略的重要性不等于掌握了词汇学习策略。调查显示,在学习词汇上,即使这些大四学生已经通过了英语四级考试,他们仍然存在着很多问题。 问卷调查的最后,作者给出了一些建议,希望能够有助于大学生更有效地学习英语词汇。

As we know, English as a second language is becoming increasingly significant not only for English majors but also for the non-English majors. College student is now required a high level of English. All college students must pass the College English Test (CET) Band 4 before they graduate. Therefore, how to study English well is important for college students. Vocabulary always is deemed as the main method to improve one’s English because vocabulary is the foundation no matter in which language. Vocabulary learning strategies, consequently, arouses attentions and interests from educator, researchers as well as other professionals. The author attempts to find out the situation about how seniors use the vocabulary learning strategies after they pass the CET Band 4 and provide some conductive help advices for them. The method that is used in this research is questionnaire. The question includes the methods that students used to memorize vocabulary, vocabulary learning strategies and specific background and information of different students. The questionnaire based on different students is expected to bring some valuable results. It was processed by Microsoft Excel software. The result of this research is inspiring because it shows signals that students are aware of the importance of vocabulary strategies and they are eager to learn these strategies by self-study as well as from teachers and books. However, their awareness of the importance of vocabularies learning strategies is not equivalent to they manage the strategies well. It is still existed many problems about vocabulary learning even these seniors have passed CET Band 4. At the end of the research, there are some suggestions given by the author, hoping that they would solve the problems for students.
