本文所要研究的“红色经典”专题指苏教版初中语文教科书中的从1921年至1976年间的包括记叙、议论、说明三大类文体，小说（包括长篇和短篇）、戏剧、诗歌、散文四大文学体裁的革命历史题材创作；同时兼及俄苏“红色经典”。 针对当下人们欲望膨胀、信仰缺失、慵常茫然和日常教学中很多师生对“红色经典”作品价值不够重视、随意处理、不以生为本的现状，本文试图借助文献法、案例分析法、调查法，通过对“红色经典”相关文献的阅读、苏教版初中语文教科书“红色经典”文本的梳理与分析、教师教学中“红色经典”文本讲授中问题的揭示、“红色经典”文本应当如何处理、“红色经典”案例实践，来探讨“红色经典”的教育价值和教学实践。 “红色经典”虽然有着历史局限，但其德育价值不容置疑。作为具有革命特征的“红色经典”，教师在教学中要做到政治意蕴与文学特性二者的兼顾与平衡。在“文道统一”的前提下，通过使学生受到正确价值观的浸染、情感的熏陶，通过对语文文字的品读和实践，来达到德育教育的目的，是教学此类文章的立足之本；以生为本，自主、合作、探究的学习方式，是使学生更好学习此类作品的良好方式。通过教学，教师还要让学生明确“红色经典”的文学史地位，给正处于青春激情期的学生以情感控制的启发，并能使学生理性谨慎地尊重历史，发掘“红色经典”蕴藏的时代光辉，并以此关照当代精神。
