In the age of mass media, people's interaction space is transferred from the real world to the virtual world. People's presentation behavior and social interaction in the society break through the existing pattern, showing the characteristics of diversification, and shaping a fresh social image. However, most of the disabled groups in society are shaped into a single stereotyped image by the media, and the right of discourse communication does not extend from the media to the individuals themselves. The emergence of new media forms is not only a way and means for disabled groups to integrate into society, but also an opportunity for them to start expressing themselves. As a new form of media launched in the era of mobile Internet, video blog reshapes social environment, thus affecting people's presentation behavior and dynamic social interaction. Joshua Merowitz's "media situation theory" connects new media forms with audience's social interaction behavior, which provides theoretical support for the research. Therefore, this study takes the media situation theory of scholar Merowitz as the research framework, follows the path of "media-scene-behavior-society", analyzes the behavior display of front stage, middle area and deep background in VLOG texts of disabled groups, and attempts to explore the changes in social interaction brought by the widespread dissemination of VLOG texts of disabled groups. In the introduction part of this paper, media situation theory and related literature of the disabled group were sorted out to clarify the research background and significance. The first chapter mainly discusses the development status of VLOG of disabled group in Station B. Firstly, it analyzes the development history and rising track of VLOG of Station B in detail. Secondly, the characteristics of the scene of Station B are studied. Its unique attributes of low access threshold, unique bullet screen culture and rich media information attract different groups to join the scene, especially the marginalized groups such as the disabled group, which can be integrated into the scene relatively easily. Finally, the second section of this chapter makes a detailed analysis of the specific content presented by the disabled in the video blog of B station from four dimensions: the story exposition of the life of the disabled, the public presentation of the disabled body, the realistic style of the first perspective, and the detailed expression of the emotion. In the second chapter, based on the characteristics of the media behavior of the disabled group, the motivation and way of presentation of the disabled group in the video blog are analyzed, trying to have an in-depth understanding of the presentation behavior of the disabled group in the video blog of B station. Specifically, in this part, the author mainly analyzes the presentation behavior of the disabled group in the B station VLOG based on the media situation theory of Merowitz and the concepts of foreground, center and background of Erwin Goffman's dramatics theory. It is found that the disabled group presents their specific image and common behavior tendency in VLOG through the control of foreground, the management of central area and the maintenance of background. In addition, the motivation for the presentation of disabled groups in B site VLOG is discussed from four dimensions, namely, the presentation needs of recording life, the psychological demands of satisfying oneself, the projection of the intention of others' identification, and the promotion of circle group convergence. The third chapter mainly analyzes the social interaction of the disabled group in the VLOG of B station. Based on the in-depth interview method, combined with the research framework of Merowitz's media context theory, it specifically discusses the VLOG situation from the three aspects of social context, social role and social behavior. The influence of social interaction behavior and behavior pattern of disabled groups. Specifically speaking, in terms of social context, the author explores how vlogs of disabled groups expand the multiple boundaries of social context from three aspects: context integration, context extension and context compression. Secondly, in terms of social roles, the author discusses the multiple definitions of social role identity of disabled groups from three aspects: group role shaping, authority role reconstruction and social role transformation of disabled groups. Third, in terms of social interaction, the author further discusses the social interaction behavior of disabled groups from four aspects: two-way interaction in public context, organizational interaction in group identity, anonymous interaction to remove stigma, and discourse interaction from the edge to the center. Thus, it provides a reference direction for the study of the influence of new VLOG scenarios on the behavior of disabled groups, and is expected to provide a new perspective for future related research. |
