1966年至1972年，对于中国来说，是段波折坎坷、命途多舛的岁月。身处“文化大革命”时期，中国国内政治局势风谲云诡，但是外交事业却久经磨砺，拨云见日地取得了许多辉煌的外交成果。无独有偶，20世纪60年代后半期的英国，也面临着极大的挑战。随着欧洲大陆经济体的大步进步与美国态度的转变，英国不得不面对自身定位的再调整。这种调整也必然带着外交政策的变化。然而，就在这双方的转型时期，历经22年的中英建交谈判却最终完成，迎来了正式建交。在中英两国的转型期，研究两国如何解决国家间冲突与敏感事件，分析此间英国滞留中国的公民群体之际遇，就成为一个切入点。 由此，本文主要分为三个部分，第一部分重点研究滞留群体中最为特殊的事件——安东尼·格雷事件，此事件和中英两国关系跌入最低点的政治事件息息相关，也因此变得敏感而复杂；第二部分由三个小部分组成，分别是船长群体滞留事件、自由记者诺曼·百里曼滞留事件和大卫·詹姆斯顿滞留事件三个小部分，这三部分的事件各有特点，从中能凸显出滞留事件的某些共性和特性；第三部分则单独阐述了大卫·柯鲁克一家的滞留事件，他们家庭由于自身独特的政治立场，从而在滞留事件中独一无二。 本文论述这些独立事件，主要意图除却反映当时两国处理突然敏感事件的手段和具体反应外，更侧重于探究公民个体与国际关系的联系。本文想从具体而动态的事件出发，找出公民个体和国际关系互动有无，以及其中的规律性。

1966 to 1972, for China, is the ups and downs of the years. In the period of the "Cultural Revolution", China's domestic political situation was complicated, but the diplomatic career was tempered and made a lot of brilliant diplomatic achievements. Coincidentally, the United Kingdom in the second half of the 1960s also faced great challenges. With the European continent's big step forward and the different attitude of the United States, the British had to face their own position to adjust again. This adjustment was bound to take foreign policy changes. However, in the transitional period of the two countries, 22 years of Sino-British diplomatic relationship negotiation is finally completed, which accomplished the formal diplomatic relationship. Therefore, in this transitional period between China and Britain, it is an useful way of analyzing the situation of the British citizens who are detained in China, to study how the two countries can solve the conflict and sensitive events between countries. Thus, this paper is divided into three parts. The first part is focus on the most special event - Anthony Gray incident. This event is closely related with events of Sino-British relations fallen into the lowest point. And the second part consists of three parts, which including the detention of captains, the detention of free journalists Norman Barrymaine and the detention of David Johnston. From observing the features of these three detention parts, we are able to find some of the commonalities and characteristics. The third part is a description of the Grooks, because of their own unique political position, which is unique in the events of detention. Through discussing these independent events, the main intention is not only to reflect how the two countries deal with sudden and sensitive events, but also to focus on exploring the individual citizens and international relations. This paper from the specific and dynamic events, to find out whether the interaction between individual citizens and international relations, as well as the regularity.
