The Chinese People’s Armed Police Force (CAPF) is a part of the armed forces of China, so its development is associated with the country’s peace and stability. Moreover, the leadership literacy of the junior commanding officers of the CAPF plays a very important role in the development and construction of the Army. The research based on “the Analects” discusses the leadership literacy of the junior commanding officers of the CAPF through empirical studies. In this study, starting from the exploration of the outstanding ancient Chinese psychological thoughts, the promotion of merging psychology into Chinese specific features and the improvement of social service of psychology, choosing the literacy of commanders as an entry point, and basing on “The Code Manual of the Leadership Literacy of〈The Analects〉”, and using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research , We investigate 600 junior commanding officers to discuss the following questions: 1. The components of leadership literacy of the junior commanding officers.2. The structure and features of the junior commanding officers’ first-degree leadership literacy.3. The structure and features of first-degree leadership literacy of the junior commanding officers of the CAPF.4. The relationship between first-degree leadership literacy and the big five personality traits of the junior commanding officers of the CAPF.The research comes to the following conclusions:1. The leadership literacy of the junior commanding officers of the CAPF is a multi-factor structure. The top ten components are submitting, understanding thoroughly, professional ethics, devoting, making effors, understanding and sympathizing, learning,、making contributions、being citing, engaging in and being delighted;2. The questionnaire of the first-degree leadership literacy has good validity and reliability. 3. There are significant differences in age, length of service, ranks and education degree among junior commanding officers of the CAPF in their leadership literacy ;4. Agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness to experience and neurotic of the personalities of the junior commanding officers of the CAPF can predict their leadership literacy; Basing on the results of our research, we discuss the promotion of merging psychology into Chinese specific features , the literacy of local talents , and the methodology of our research.This study will accelerate the understanding of the status of the leadership qualities of CAPF officers, and the merging psychology into Chinese specific features, and it will also provide an important reference to the selection , assessment and training of CAPF officers. Such researches are of benefit to the construction and development of the army in the long run.
