自古以来，家庭婚姻暴力是一个普遍存在于婚姻生活中的不良现象，不论是对个人人身安全、家庭幸福还是对社会的长治久安都产生了极大的危害，严重阻碍着社会进步；直至今日，家庭婚姻暴力仍然是一个需要社会各界广泛关注且亟待解决的重要问题。

相对之前的历史时期而言，受到思想逐步解放及法律变革的影响，北洋政府时期政府对家庭婚姻暴力事件的干预与对受迫害女性的救助，乃至女性本身对自身权利的维护都表现得更为突出，而北京作为国家的政治中心与文化教育中心，具有不可忽视的独特性，特别是城市治理近代化的产物——京师警察厅的设立，对于政府干预家庭婚姻暴力事件、救助受虐待的女性具有积极意义。

        但是，通过对北洋政府时期京师警察厅关于北京地区家庭婚姻暴力类的档案进行梳理与分析，不难发现家庭婚姻暴力事件并没有因为法律变革、社会思潮进步以及京师警察厅的积极干预而减少，反而呈现出屡禁不止的现象。因此，本文分别通过对身处家庭婚姻暴力事件中女性的前后思想与行为变化，以及京师警察厅在干预与处理家庭婚姻暴力事件的态度与方式结合典型案例进行分析，从而更好地掌握北洋政府时期北京地区家庭婚姻暴力这一社会问题。对家庭婚姻暴力现象的分析不仅可以为研究民初北京地区的社会史提供一个独特的视角，同时也能够为当今社会杜绝家庭婚姻暴力事件提供经验与教训，从而争取女性婚姻家庭地位的提升，引导正确婚姻家庭观念的形成，构建健康和谐的家庭与社会环境。

It has done great harm to personal safety, family happiness and long-term social stability, and seriously hindered social progress; Up to now, domestic and marital violence is still an important problem that needs extensive attention and urgent solution from all walks of life.

Compared with all previous historical periods, under the influence of gradual ideological emancipation and legal reform, the intervention of the government in domestic and marital violence and the assistance to persecuted women during the Beiyang government, and even the maintenance of women's own rights are more prominent. As a national political center and cultural and educational center, Beijing has its uniqueness that can not be ignored. In particular, the establishment of the capital police department, the product of the modernization of urban governance, is of positive significance for the government to intervene in domestic and marital violence and rescue abused women.

However, by combing and analyzing the archives of the Beijing police department on domestic and marital violence in Beijing during the period of the Beiyang government, it is not difficult to find that domestic and marital violence has not decreased due to the legal reform, the progress of social thought and the active intervention of the Beijing police department. On the contrary, it shows the phenomenon of repeated prohibition. Therefore, this paper analyzes the changes of women's thoughts and behavior before and after the domestic and marital violence, as well as the attitudes and methods of the Beijing police department in intervening and dealing with the domestic and marital violence, combined with typical cases, so as to better grasp the social problem of domestic and marital violence in Beijing during the Beiyang government. The analysis of the phenomenon of domestic and marital violence can not only provide a unique perspective for the study of the social history of Beijing in the early Republic of China, but also provide experience and lessons for today's society to eliminate domestic and marital violence, so as to strive for the promotion of women's marriage and family status, guide the formation of correct marriage and family concepts, and build a healthy and harmonious family and social environment.
