学习策略向来是教育学家、心理学家都广泛关注的研究课题之一。学习策略在语言学习中的重要意义,也得到了众多语言教育研究者的重视。有关外语学习策略的研究,尽管也已取得了相当丰富的研究成果, 但无论是广度和深度上, 仍有很大发展空间。例如,对于自我效能和学习策略两者关系的研究还相对较少。自我效能感是班杜拉创建的社会认知理论中的一个重要概念。班杜拉(1986)认为,自我效能感是个体对自己能否有效地进行学习或其它某一行为的能力判断,是自信心在某项任务中的具体表现。本文以英语自我效能对学习策略运用情况的影响为研究途径,通过对北京某高职院校十个不同专业的300多名一年级学生进行问卷调查,来探究英语自我效能和学习策略之间是否存在相关性。调查结束后,采用社会科学统计方法SPSS16.0软件包进行数据分析,并得出以下结论:1. 高职学生英语自我效能一般,它们不经常使用学习策略。在自我效能和策略运用方面,女生优于男生。而文科学生优于理科学生。2. 英语自我效能与英语学习策略的选择具有显著相关性。3. 英语自我效能的不同水平和不同因素都对学生英语学习策略的选择产生影响。 通过归纳总结与对比分析,探索能强化学生自我效能和策略意识的有效途径,从而促进学习者英语水平的提高。最后,作者指出了本研究的局限性,并提出了今后相关课题的研究方向。
外文摘要:
earning strategy is one of buzzwords in the pedagogical and psychological research fields. With the development of research, more and more language educators have realized the significance of learning strategies in the language learning. Although researches into language learning strategies have made great progress in recent decades, there is still much room in both the breadth and depth. For example, one dimension is the study on the relationship between the use of learning strategies and self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is at the very core of Bandura’s social cognitive theory. It is defined as one's belief in one's ability to succeed in specific situations. The present study attempts to explore the relationship between English self-efficacy and choice of learning strategies of students in high vocational colleges. It uses the questionnaire as the main data collection method and it was conducted in a vocational college in Beijing. There were 372 freshmen surveyed from 10 different majors. Statistical analyses were carried out by employing Statistical Package for the Social Science 16.0. Conclusions were drawn as follows: 1. Learners from this vocational college do not often use learning strategies and their English self-efficacy is not strong in the Vocation College. Besides, on both sides girls are better than boys and the arts major are better than the science. 2. There is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and use of learning strategies in English learning. 3. The different levels and factors of self-efficacy have an impact on learning strategies. Meanwhile, the study puts forward some constructive suggestion on how to strengthen vocational students’ self-efficacy and effective use of learning strategies to enhance learners’ English achievements. Finally, the paper discusses limitations and suggestions for future research.
