立德夫人是维多利亚时代西欧来华旅行者中具有代表性的一位英国女性。在华期间她相继出版了10部关于中国的作品,是晚清中国的历史见证人,同时还是中国社会活动的参与者。本文以其中具有代表性的中国游记《穿蓝色长袍的国度》一书为研究对象,探索其作为该特殊时代的女性书写者如何在游记中展现中国形象,分析这些中国形象的深层次内涵及带来的启示。 本篇论文主要分为五个部分,第一部分为导语,介绍了《穿蓝色长袍的国度》的时代背景及创作过程。正文部分第一章主要分析该书作为旅行文学作品的书写策略。第二章深入分析游记中作为“他者”的中国形象,包括“中国城乡”和“中国人”两个方面,结合“意识形态”和“乌托邦”两种形象学角度,采取跨文化意识,揭示其具体内涵。第三章主要关注立德夫人的女性书写身份,分析时代背景、性别意识、自身社会文化背景在其具体作品中的展现方式。 |

Mrs. Little is one of the typical British women travelers in the Victorian era. During her travelling, she published 10 works about China. She was not only a historical witness of late Qing China, but also a participant in Chinese social activities. This thesis takes her representative work The Land of the Blue Gown as the research object, explores how the author as a female writer presents Chinese images in the novel, and analyzes the deep connotations of these Chinese images.

This paper is mainly divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the era background and creating process of the Land of the Blue Gown. In the text part, the first chapter focuses on the perspective of travel literature, and analyzes the writing strategies of the Land of the Blue Gown as a travel literature. The second chapter further analyzes the Chinese image as "the other" in this book, including the two aspects of "Chinese cities & countries " and “Chinese people”, and take the “trans-culture” awareness to reveal their specific connotation, with the two imagology perspectives of "ideology" and "utopia". The third chapter focuses on Mrs. Little’s writing identity of female, and analyzes the way in which her background, gender consciousness, and her social and cultural background are displayed in her work. |
