随着经济及社会的迅速发展，国际间的交流和合作也变得越来越密切和频繁。新闻作为信息传递的一个主要工具，已经成为人们日常生活中不可或缺的一部分，为了满足人们日益增长的信息交换的需求，关于新闻翻译的研究也开始提上日程，越来越受到重视。本文以德国功能派翻译理论为依据来研究新闻翻译，探索可行的翻译策略。本文首先对功能派翻译理论进行了介绍，包括该理论的历史背景，及卡塔琳娜•赖斯的文本类型理论，贾斯特•赫尔兹-曼塔里的翻译行为论，汉斯•弗米尔德的目的论和克里斯蒂安•诺德的文本分析模式。功能翻译理论认为翻译行为的交际目的或功能决定译者的决定，翻译的目的决定译者的策略，试图把译者从原文的束缚中解放出来，所以该理论可谓是为新闻翻译提供了一种新的研究角度。在该理论框架下，本文对新闻的文本类型进行了分析，指出新闻是集信息型文本和表达型文本为一体的综合文本类型，新闻翻译的目的也是为了传递信息。在新闻翻译的过程中，应符合篇内一致和篇际一致的标准，而这两者又都从属于目的准则。译者应根据翻译纲要进行翻译，寻求合适的翻译方法，使译文符合标准译文的要求。不管选择何种翻译方法，译文都应适应目的语文化和目的语读者的需求。编译是新闻翻译中常见的翻译方法，作者在编译过程中指出几种更具体的方法，并运用大量例子对此进行论证。

Along with the rapid development of society and economy, international communication and cooperation has been booming all around the world. As a major tool for information transmission, news has become an essential component in people’s daily life. To meet the growing needs for information change, the studies on news translation have been put on the agenda. This paper aims to study news translation under the guidance of functional translation theories in Germany, and to explore the feasible translation strategies of it.First the functional theories to the analysis of translation are introduced. The historical background is presented at the beginning, Katharina Reiss’s text-type and language functions, Justa Holz-Manttari’s theory of translational action, Hans J. Vermeer’s skopos theory, and Christiane Nord’s more detailed text –analysis model are the main representatives in this field. Functional theories see communicative purpose or set of functions of the act of translating the crucial factor for translators’ decision. It advocates that the skopos of the translation decides the strategies the translator adopts, attempting to free the translator from the traditional equivalence-based translation. Therefore, it provides a new perfective for news translation.Within this framework, the text typology of news is analyzed. News can be seen as a compound text with informative function and expressive function, which should be preserved during the translation process. The skopos of news translation is also studied, namely, transmitting information. During the translation process, news translator should also abide by the coherence rule and fidelity rule, which are subordinate to the skopos rule. The translation brief and the criterion of good news translation are also given to guide the news translator to explore proper translation methods. No matter which translation method to choose, the target text of news translation should be accepted by the target readers in target culture. Adaption is most frequently seen in news translation, and some concrete methods are suggested in the process of adaption and examples are given to illustrate them.
