The demand for Thai teachers in Chinese universities was increasing and the feeling of being a foreign language teacher may cause some anxiety problems related to psychological well-being. Most of them had to face with feeling anxious nowadays, since preparing before going to teach in Chinese universities. Presently, most Thai teachers teaching Thai as a foreign language to Chinese Students in Thailand, have many emotions while preparing to teach in Chinese university before going to teach in Chinese universities and also need help from experienced teachers. However, there has been little research in this field. This master thesis was qualitative in nature, based on 6 native Thai teachers’ anxiety experienced from Chiang Mai University and telling their stories as experienced in Chinese universities from year 2012 to year 2018. This research focuses on Thai teacher anxieties from preparing and teaching and also covers their ways to deal with their anxiety experiences. Interviewed and observation are used to collect data. Research on their anxiety experience has revealed that being teachers as a container of anxiety which is related to various emotions. Before going on to be Thai teachers in Chinese universities, they knew little about the Chinese environment and culture. Besides, they had no experience of teaching abroad, lacking of experience, health problems, different characteristics, generation gap, new materials and subject and unknown Chinese language made them feel anxious and have a little confidence to teach. One teacher has a high expectation for being a Thai teacher in Chinese universities but lacking teaching skills and experience, which make the teacher feel anxious and get lots of pressure to teach. Therefore, addressing anxiety before going to teach in Chinese universities could effectively eliminate later problems in teaching and working. The three questions addressed in this research are stated as follows: (1) What are the anxieties experienced by Thai teachers while preparing to be a Thai Teacher in Chinese universities? (2) What are the sources of anxiety experienced before going to be a Thai teacher in Chinese universities? (3) How do Thai teachers address their anxieties? The findings highlight the needs for future of Thai teacher’s anxiety about teaching and working to be addressed while being a Thai teacher in the Chinese universities context which are as follow: (1) Thai teachers from Chiang Mai University faced with various experiences that made them feel anxiety which divide into feelings negative and positive. Most of them have negative feelings but the anxiety is not only bad feelings but also about the positive feelings too which means an anxiety may push and motivate you to do something better. (2) Thai teacher anxieties can be triggered by a lack of ideas to prepare things before going to teach in Chinese universities which are the basis of subsequent or other cause of anxiety such as Chinese environments and cultures, Classroom management, language barriers and so on. (3) Exercise, Ask for help and Expressing are ways to deal with Thai teacher anxieties.
