"A Kind of Reality" is a typical novella in Yu Hua's early composition, which is full of absurd and blood. This paper will focus on the analysis of the family narration in "A Kind of Reality". First of all, it starts from the portrayal of the cold, selfish and bloodthirsty weird family relationship of two families killing each other, and analyzes the fratricidal brotherly relationship, the husband and wife relationship aiding a crime. Then it summarizes the whole of abnormal cold and distant family pattern in the two families of Shan Feng and Shan Gang; after that, in the description of this abnormal family relationship pattern, this paper will analyze the three narrative practices of Yu Hua's novel narrative exploration: zero degree narration, repeated narration and mirror narration. Finally, from the perspective of social culture, the author explores an accurate reality constructed in the bizarre story, revealing the history of fratricidal phenomenon, the social phenomenon without ethics, and the culture of revenge that cannot escape. Yu Hua's deconstruction of secular ethics not only achieves the vanguard in the narrative exploration of "A Kind of Reality", but also completes a mapping of the real world and human nature, so as to write a unique humanistic concern in the seemingly indifferent temperature.
