Cosmic rays with energies up to a few PeV are known to be accelerated within the Galaxy. Traditionally, Supernova remnants are believed to be the accelerators of galactic cosmic rays, but the remnats’ accelerating hadrons to tens of TeV is dippreciated by recent observations. Another possible site of galactic cosmic rays acceleration is massive star clusters or associations, within which the young massive stars’ strong radio-driven winds interact with the interstellar media, and thus produce shock waves, which might then account for particle acceleration. Recent observations have detected several γ ray emission sites in association with massive star clusters, of which the Cygnus Cocoon is a typical one. Cygnus Cocoon is an extended γ ray source lying within the Cygnus X region; the γ ray emission is possiblly related to freshly accelerated protons from the Super-Bubble interacting with the ambient gas, and those high energy protons are probably originated from the multiple winds of massive stars in Cygn OB2. In this paper, we applied the 3ML framework to analyze the data from LHAASO- WCDA experiment and studied the high energy γ ray emission towards Cygnus Cocoon. Different models were tested to attain the best fit disentangling sources within the region of interest. The radial profile of cosmic ray centered at OB2 was calculated to analyze the possible acceleration site and diffusion model. It is the first work that applied 3ML framework to LHAASO data. Our results qualified the feasibility of this interface, and so these methods can be promoted in future studies. |
