本文利用《中国统计年鉴》、《中国教育经费统计年鉴》、《中国教育统计年鉴》中1997年-2014年，全国31个省（直辖市，自治区）的数据构建面板数据，将数据分为东部、中部和西部，使用固定效应模型对地方高等教育经费支出的影响因素特别是与经济发展水平相关的因素进行了研究。结果显示影响生均地方高等教育支出的主要因素是人均国内生产总值和人均财政支出，而地方高等教育在校学生数量和人口数量只对中部地区的生均地方高等教育支出有显著影响。

The paper uses the data of " Statistical Yearbook of China", "China Educational Finance Statistical Yearbook" and " Education Statistical Yearbook in China" from 1997 to 2014, 31 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) to build panel data, the data are divided into the eastern, the central and the western regions, using the fixed effect model to study the factors influencing the expenditure of local higher education, especially the factors related to economic development. The results show that the main factors that influence the expenditure of local higher education are the per capita GDP and the per capita fiscal expenditure. While the scale of local higher education and population only have significant influence on the local higher education expenditure in the central region.
